Art on buildings and site design

Murals for buildings and sites shape how buildings, neighborhoods and entire locations are perceived. For real estate developers, cities, infrastructure operators and companies, we develop site-specific concepts for façades, interiors and public spaces and examine the feasibility in terms of use, architecture and impact at an early stage. This creates a sound basis for planning, implementation and project decisions in the context of site development.

Creating identity and orientation

Art in public, semi-public and private spaces creates orientation and strengthens the identity of a location. For cities, site developers and companies, we develop concepts for façades, squares, entrance areas and entire sites that combine architecture and use. We take into account the environment, target groups and corporate identity and create solutions that have a long-term effect and visibly enhance the location.

Integrating art into projects

A successful art-in-architecture project is the result of close collaboration between planning, architecture and implementation. WAND curates and coordinates artists, develops design concepts and integrates urban art precisely into construction, infrastructure and development projects. This creates a clear structure for planning and implementation and a secure basis for building owners, project developers and public clients.

Implementing concepts safely

From the initial idea to implementation, we accompany projects in a structured and transparent manner. We examine locations, usage, safety requirements and technical prerequisites and develop a feasible concept for art in architecture or site design. Our experience in planning, approvals and coordination creates security for investors, cities and companies and enables reliable project decisions.

Process flow for area designs

Schritt 1

Contact us

You are planning a construction project, developing a site or want to enhance the design of a location. In the first step, we clarify the initial situation, objectives and framework conditions of the project together. We discuss the use, target groups and desired effect of the location. The result is a shared understanding of the project idea and a structured basis for the next steps in planning and development.

Schritt 2

Feasibility

As part of a feasibility study, we examine the key requirements for the project. We carry out an on-site inspection, analyze the architecture, use and technical conditions and clarify relevant points with the authorities and project partners. Depending on the project, we also check safety, accessibility and approval requirements. The result is a clear decision-making basis for further planning and site development.

Schritt 3

Preliminary concept

Based on the analysis, we jointly define the creative direction and the most important guidelines for the project. Two to four suitable artists from our network develop initial concept ideas, tailored to the architecture, use and location. The proposals are curated and evaluated. The most convincing concept forms the basis for further development and the next phase of the project.

Schritt 4

Detailed concept

The selected variant is developed further and worked out into a final concept. We refine the design, content and implementation and coordinate all the details with you and the project partners. This results in precise visualizations for every area and every usage situation. The result is a coordinated and feasible concept for implementation as part of the construction or infrastructure project.

Schritt 5

Production

Once the concept has been approved, we take over the complete preparation and implementation of the project. Planning, materials, safety concepts and coordination are organized in such a way that all processes run smoothly on site. If desired, the production can be accompanied by photography or filming and can be used for communication purposes. The result is a professional implementation and additional visibility for the project and the location.

Schritt 6

Conclusion

The end result is more than just design. The result is a place with character that attracts attention and has a long-term impact. We deliberately stage the result and, if desired, provide support with communication, media work or presentation of the project. The result is a visible sign of quality, identity and a clear positioning of the location in the public or business environment.
