The guardian of the three alliances
Six years after its first design, the Chur Mühleturm has been given a completely new mural. In the center is a guardian holding three light sources in her hands. These symbolize the three confederations whose union 500 years ago laid the foundation stone for today's canton of Graubünden. The glow stands for the strength of our community, for hope and trust as well as for progress and development. The corn that is processed in the Mühleturm is a symbol of immigration, which has always been of central importance in the development of Graubünden. With the "Guardian of the Three Leagues", a landmark has been created in our home town that is visible from afar and fits seamlessly into the cityscape, which is already characterized by numerous murals. Despite the challenges of wind and weather, it was a special journey in an impressive place to work.
