Central Parking: Concrete Nature
The entrance area of the Parkhaus Central in St. Gallen has undergone a striking artistic redesign. A sweeping natural motif stretches across the raw concrete space, deliberately echoing and creatively incorporating the character and original materiality of the wall. A fallen tree trunk, complete with a squirrel, appears to burst out of the concrete surface, creating an unexpected sense of depth and vitality.
Using acrylic paint, spray cans, and a great deal of patience, artist Alex Hohl created a work that gives the Parkhaus Central its own identity and offers visitors a striking landmark.
